Our 5th annual “Whiten for Charity” campaign was another HUGE success. This year 51 smiling patients participated by getting their teeth whitened from January through April. Thanks to these bright smiles, the team raised over $10,500 to benefit the Smiles for Life Charity! This organization supports children’s charities around the world, specifically helping underprivileged kids receive needed dental care.
While Coronavirus limited some of the time that we were able to do cosmetic whitening, we still accomplished much together. Besides our existing patients, others from the Zelienople-Harmony community also supported the cause and had their whitening done at our dental office.
The Marion Smile Center Team was scheduled to go to Guatemala on a Humanitarian Dental Trip in September 2020. These plans were changed due to Coronavirus. We are aiming to reschedule our trip for September 2021.
When we do go, our team will work at a Guatemalan dental clinic and provide dental care for FREE! We will focus on the Q’eqchi communities in the country’s Polochic region, which is located in east-central Guatemala. Through this mission, underprivileged children will receive free dental healthcare. While we will be doing good for others, we believe that we will receive an equally important gift of gratitude and appreciation for what we have.

You Whiten, We Donate 100%!
Our “Whiten for Charity” campaign started back in 2016. Each year, Marion Smile Center donates 100% of the proceeds from every patient who whitens their teeth during a 4-month period to charity. To date, we have raised over $65,000 for charity. Each year, a worthy cause receives four months’ worth of all proceeds from our teeth whitening services. This is made possible by Opalescence Tooth Whitening Systems, one of the institutions powering the Smiles for Life Foundation.
Opalescence provides four months’ worth of whitening products to us for FREE, and the dental specialists here at Marion Smile Center in turn provide our dental whitening services for FREE. As a result, this collaboration gives 100% of teeth whitening proceeds to charity.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the cause, the Whiten for Charity campaign has become an annual success. Last year, we raised over $16,000 which was split equally between two charity organizations:
Smiles for Life Foundation and
our local fire department, Harmony Fire District #22.
In prior years, we have given thousands of dollars to the Zelienople Library, Zelienople Parks, etc. Every year, we help improve our community and our world.
