Due to delayed professional cleanings and treatment, plus complications from mask-wearing, Americans need dental treatment more than ever. “Mask mouth” is causing dry mouth which increases the bacteria in the mouth which then causes cavities and gum disease.
Now that the 95% effective COVID vaccines are available and a large percentage of Americans have received them, we are seeing an increase in the number of patients requesting dental appointments. So, while we are busy helping our patients get back to good dental health through professional cleanings, exams, and treatment, we are also running a “Whiten for Charity” campaign to benefit local families here in the Zelienople – Harmony area who are in need. Many in the community are still without jobs due to economic issues resulting from the COVID pandemic. As a result, our local food pantry is seeing a doubling in the number of families asking for food donations.

That’s why we have partnered with the local Zelienople – Harmony Food Cupboard. From March through June 2021, our dental team will donate the full amount of the proceeds for in-office whitening treatments, custom take-home whitening trays, and even refills for your trays.

Harmony Food Cupboard does an amazing job of bringing smiles to families by feeding them. The organization used to feed 80 families a month on average, but over this past year with people suffering from the pandemic, they’ve been feeding almost double the number of families, over 150 families.
If you would like to have a 2-hour In-Office Teeth Whitening session here at Marion Smile Center, we will donate the full $399 amount to charity to benefit the local Zelienople – Harmony Food Bank. If you prefer to whiten your teeth in the privacy of your own home with our professional products, we can make you Custom-made Whitening Trays for $209, which will also be completely donated to this worthwhile cause. If you already have custom whitening trays, you can get 4 tubes of refill whitening solution, and $52 will go to the charities.
At Marion Smile Center, our goal is to raise $12,000 from March 1st through June 30th, 2021. All funds we receive through this effort will be equally distributed to the Harmony Food Cupboard and the Smiles for Life Children’s Charity, which helps underprivileged kids to receive dental care. Help stop hunger in our local communities of Zelienople, Harmony, Jackson, and Lancaster Townships! Any monetary contribution will also be greatly appreciated by the charities. Whitening Gift Certificates make great gifts as well! Cash donations will help buy meats and dairy, packaging supplies, and shelving units for storage.
