You Whitened, We Donated $11,225 to Charity!
Every year from March 1st – June 30th, Marion Smile Center conducts their annual Whiten for Charity campaign. Thanks to our patients that whitening their teeth, we were able to raise a total of $11,225 to wrap our 2022 charity season! That makes a GRAND TOTAL of $91,000 that we have raised for charity since we started our Whiten for Charity annual campaign back in 2016.
How does it work?
Whiten for Charity is simple: YOU whiten your teeth at Marion Smile Center from March 1 – June 30, 100% of the proceeds go directly to charity. When you come in to get your teeth whitened or purchase whitening supplies, you write a check or use your card and the money is sent directly to the charity. This means that Dr. Marion and his team make no money off of any whitening during these months. The team donates their time whitening your teeth and making your take-home whitening trays to “Do Good” for our local community.
There are various ways to donate yearly March 1st – June 30th:
- Whitening Refills (4 syringes of solution for custom trays)
- 10 Pre-filled Disposable Whitening Trays (20-minute sessions at home)
- Custom Whitening Trays + 8 Syringes of Solution (30-minute sessions at home)
- In-Office Whitening (2-hour appointment includes custom trays + 4 tubes of solution for touch-ups)
- Monetary donations of any size: Please make your check to Zelienople Area Public Library and remit to our office at 111 S. High Street, Zelienople, PA 16063
Zelienople Area Public Library, TIN #25-6003626, Section 501(c)3 Nonprofit Charitable Organization

Where does the money go?
Dr. Mark A. Marion pledged to raise $10,000 for the local Harmony-Zelienople Library over the next few years. The local library has amazing plans to build a 3,000 square feet addition that will include a brand-new children’s wing. We are so excited for the opportunity to help generations of local Zelienople-Harmony children have a fun, comfortable environment to learn and read!
In 2022, Marion Smile Center was able to donate $6,187 to go directly to the Zelienople Library in the 4 months of the annual Whiten for Charity campaign. The other $5,037 we raised will go to the Smiles for Life Charity to help underprivileged children all over the world through various causes.
Dr. Marion is thrilled to partner with the library again next year to raise the remaining $3,813 of our $10,000 pledge to give the children in our community a friendly environment to learn and grow!
